Select your first file, CMD+C Select your second file, CMD+C, CMD+C Select your third...nth file, CMD+C, CMD+C CMD+V (paste) Choose "Select in Launchbar" (or hit F1) Now act on the multiple files. A few more keystrokes than the QuickSilver method, but pretty intuitive, especially if you'r...

It's in the menu accessed from the gear icon in the LB bar -- also accessed with ⌃→ OK, thanks jpcirrus. I see it now. It also helps to actually have a file selected that's one of the supported formats. A PHP file is not one of the supported formats. One strange thing though is that the...

I guess you could write a script that takes a comma-delimited list of inputs or some other format, parses them, and then assembles and opens the desired URL. But then it wouldn't be a simple search template.

Re: Two search parameters

I don't think this can currently be done. With only a single input field, how would LaunchBar pass in the second input?

I think the only thing you could do is make one of the inputs static.

I haven't, largely because after releasing a major new beta, I expect they are probably monitoring this board for general feedback and issues. Yeah, you're probably right. I have seen Norbert replying in many threads. I guess I just wanted to make absolutely sure they were aware of this issue. Don'...

The command should still be there. Please check LaunchBar Preferences > Appearance > Compact Action Menu. Is this option set? Hmm, I did have the Compact Action Menu enabled but didn't see the command appear in any menu when I pressed the key combination. I then turned the Compact Action Menu prefe...

I don't know of any tutorials specifically for LaunchBar 5 yet, but there are a few floating around from LaunchBar 4. And many (most?) of the file operations in LaunchBar 5 existed under LaunchBar 4 as well, so it should be enough to get you started. Jason Snell of Macworld has a bit of an overview ...

I haven't tested this myself yet, but did you send this to ObDev directly? I'm not sure if they check these forums for bug reports on a regular basis.

Well, there are a couple ways you could do this: ⋅  Use LaunchBar's Text Clips feature. From LaunchBar help: A text document whose filename ends with a special .clip.txt or .clip.rtf filename extension is treated as a Text Clip File. Opening such a file via LaunchBar inserts the file’s con...

Hmm, yes. I currently have Spaces turned off. Do all of you have Spaces enabled? Maybe we're on to something here.

For me this happens 100% of the time, so I'm sure it's a bug. It may very well be a bug, but there must be something else involved here because I can't reproduce the problem at all using 5.0b1 (626). In fact, I've never seen the behavior after several days of heavy LaunchBar use. There must be some...

The default keyboard shortcut for the calculator is the "Clear" key on a numeric keypad. AFAIK, the key is not available on recent Apple notebook keyboards. It's only on "extended" keyboards (i.e. most QWERTY external keyboards).

This functionality still exists and is very useful. But the "Group by Kind" name was changed to "Categories" at some point (I think it happened in LaunchBar 4, so it's not something new). If you look at your index (Index -> Show Index), you should see a Categories collection at t...
