Hmm, I don't know what the problem is. LaunchBar on my system works the same with both the arrow keys and the space bar when entering a subfolder (i.e. it displays and searches on only the items at the top level of the subfolder).

Hmm, it seems to be working for me. To be clear, this is what I'm doing: 1) Activate LaunchBar and type "doc" to go to my Documents folder. 2) Using the right arrow key, navigate into my Documents folder and then down-arrow to a subfolder called "Work", and then right arrow again...

Just an idea: Put only the bookmarks you want in another browser you don't use and index those one only, they'll still open in Safari. You can then remove Safari's bookmarks or use them with sub-search only. You could also do this without a second browser. Just drag all the bookmarks you want to ar...

Maybe this doesn't do exactly what you want, but you could enable the "Access items via sub-search only" under the Safari Bookmarks Options tab. That way none of your individual Safari Bookmarks will show up in searches, only the Safari Bookmarks collection itself. To search for individual...

Yeah, when I first started using LaunchBar (couple years ago now), I also yearned for Quicksilver's comma feature to launch multiple items. But since then, I've gotten used to not having it and, frankly, don't miss it that much. There are, however, some rare instances where I'd like to select multip...

I used to have LB in the center of my display (it's especially nice on a very large screen). But I eventually moved it back to the default location at the top by the menu bar. I did this mainly because I often need to view other windows while working with LB. Having LB in the center too often blocke...

beerich: Unfortunately, no. It seems it would be rather difficult for Objective Development to anticipate what you've got in your Services menu, as it varies greatly depending on what applications you have installed. On the other hand, maybe they could auto-generate a collection of Services Search T...

I don't think LaunchBar can currently select multiple items (like Quicksilver's comma syntax). However, LaunchBar can act on multiple items dropped on the bar with the mouse or on multiple selections from the Finder with the Command-G key combination. For example, select multiple items in the Finder...

And according to the log messages it seems that with each invocation of the qlmanage command the entire Quick Look engine has to be initialized from scratch again and again (loading and registering dozens of Quick Look generators), which makes this approach rather slow compared to Finder's implemen...

Re: Deactivate launchbar on repeating the activation shortcu

I'd love a setting to deactivate launchbar on repeating the activation shortcut This would break LaunchBar's stateless design. Right now you can rely on the fact that pressing Command-Space will prepare LaunchBar to start a new search under all circumstances, regeardless if the bar is currently vis...
