Thanks, Norbert. Being a Unix geek seeing system made me think you meant a BSD System Call . I'm curious if FSPathMoveObjectSync behaves as documented with regards to cross-volume moves, though I'm not enough of a coder to test it. Maybe that's usable in a FSPathMoveObjectAsync workaround but I'm ju...

Thanks for that tip, Nik. I haven't explored LB5's clipboard features much yet, partly because already using PTHPasteboard makes it easier to procrastinate.

Since this topic has been re-opened …

Can anyone confirm/deny FSEvents being used in LaunchBar 5? Doesn't appear to and there's no mention of it on the beta page, only this Bug Fixes and Improvements bullet point:

• Much improved compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

I've had the concepts for awhile but my efficiency of interacting with some of them is still lagging. :)

Re: LB5: Copy/Move - move only copies across drives

if the source file and destination location are on the same drive, (whether the system drive or an external drive) move works as expected (the source file is deleted after the move). Actually a move on the same filesystem is simply a rename. You can prove it to yourself by moving a huge file and no...

I won't rely on forum posts as the only method of reporting issues I want to make sure OD is aware of, but posting can often be useful to get community feedback before submitting a formal report or deciding not to.

Yep, now I see that X IN A RECTANGLE BOX symbol on the clear key in Keyboard Viewer so it's not untypeable after all. Thanks for pointing that out.

Even one person with this problem who's not running Spaces would virtually eliminate it as a possible influence. It might turn out being easier for OD to isolate this from descriptions of the symptoms and knowing the app code than us trying to figure it out without being able to consistently reprodu...

Hey, don't make it too easy. :)

That's a great idea, sjk.

You're welcome. :)

Of course it can be useful for browsing HTML help in other application bundles, too.

Have you tried using Character Palette to find/insert that character? Having shortcuts enabled with untypeable default characters initially confused me. I first tried using Delete (unsuccessfully) to revert a shortcut to its default before noticing the checkboxs for enabling/disabling them (without ...

There are ways to make the Leopard Help window not be floating. Web search for instructions; they're probably on MacOSXHints, for example. (Edit: Whoops, Greg's post beat mine ) Also, the Help window can by minimized by double-clicking its title bar. Or just open LaunchBar Help in a browser window: ...

I see that's documented on the URL Commands page of LB Help, but x-launchbar:pref-pane isn't (anywhere I've looked). Is there a full list of URL commands somewhere? Thanks!
