You can browse the contents of a bundle (package) by using ⌥+Right Arrow.
Not sure whether that really helps, though.

Bigcloits, I think he meant to say that everything's fine now Your answer is definitely correct and works the way it is intended to work. Adrian tried the "Search Index" Search field in the upper right corner of LaunchBar's index. The option you mentioned doesn't apply to that search field...

Oh dear. That should have been obvious. As Dennis mentioned correctly, how did we open .txts if it worked that way? I guess we both did the following: ⋅  Open TextEdit: a new text document is created automatically ⋅  Select a .txt document in LaunchBar and press return ⋅&nbs...

Ouch. bigcloits, you definitely CAN brain today, everything you said was spot on. I didn't know about inserting regular .txt files – it works perfectly If you rename them like I said (.clip.txt) LaunchBar will display them as such. The use of native Mac OS X .textClipping files is a feature request ...

Yeah, it's quite handy :)

I edited my first post to reflect your findings.
Thanks for double checking.

Err… yes, to revoke my first response: I think Dennis' way is the only correct one (and the one I usually use, too). It doesn't work with "real" Mac OS X clippings at all, does it? For completeness' sake I will post my "New Text Clip" Script: -- New TextClip LaunchBar Action by l...

Well... yes 8)
You need to change the extension to clip.txt.
By default it will be .textClipping or something like that.

EDIT: This doesn't work, see below for details!

Topic: Remove Abbreviation?

My problem illustrates that there is a need to be able to remove them sometimes. I'm afraid I still don't get it. If a particular abbreviation selects item A, but you'd prefer to select item B with this abbreviation, why would you want to remove anything, and not just choose item B from the list an...

To start the ranting: Oh, but couldn't you use it on Leopard, so those of us who use it can profit from FSEvents, and on tiger just default back top how things are working now? With the revamped design, LaunchBar looks like it's targeted at Leopard users anyway... I guess that won't be the last comm...

Conceptually it might be useful to create a new area in the configuration where abbreviations are listed and can be added and removed.
IMHO that'd be more intuitive than assigning an empty abbreviation.

Good to know, though 8)

Silks, Objective Development usually responds quite fast and thoroughly, so maybe they just need a little more time. Your feature request seems very reasonable, so you can expect at least an answer. Just make sure you submitted an official feature request to Objective Development here . regards, Lud...

"Single Seat License", IMHO means you would have to buy two.
In that case you can just buy a family license, it's cheaper.

I actually had it installed on two machines, one of which was a laptop I rarely used (it's not mine, and LaunchBar was only installed on my user account).

Yeah, I'd hoped I made that clear… it's for text only.
I use it to make TextClips a little more flexible. Not really a shelf.

Note that it doesn't work correctly when LaunchBar is in nonactivating mode though: the script's dialogue will appear behind the frontmost window where you can't see it. :(
