You could ask the moodblast author to add AppleScript support (if there isnt already) and then use an on handle_string(s) construction in an AS, then run it from LaunchBar… If you can show me the documentation for moodblast (couldn't find on their website) then I could help you with the script Ludwi...

Hello Roger, don't worry, it's OK to be new. However - I do need a bit more specific information. What/Where is "disk"? Is it a folder on your mac? Is it the disk image the program came in? "I want to get out of disk, but can't find it to quit it." Do YOU want to get out of disk,...

"Search in Spotlight" is not actually Spotlight – it's Launchbars integrated Spotlight, only: it gets overwritten by Mac OSX's shortcut for 'true' Spotlight. I admit the naming is a little confusing. What you might want to do is go to System Preferences > Spotlight and deactivate/change th...

It appears to me that the Quicksilver action really is just a Script that takes text input. So in LaunchBar you can just make a new folder for your Scripts, put the "Quicksilver Action" for Moodswing in there. When you select it in LB just hit space and type your message. I looked at the s...

Drag and Drop works beautifully!

I just "save as …" then search for the folder in LaunchBar and drag it to the save window.

If somebody knows of a solution that doesn't require the mouse, I'd be interested in hearing about it :-)

L

Now I don't use LaunchBar to search for files – and I'd recommend looking at the other things it can do, too, but: I'd recommend to ommit the space, and not even type the full [client] part either. Chances are quite high that LB will still know what you were looking for. I hope this works for you, L

Regardless of the workaround I'd say it's a missing feature of LaunchBar. Maybe you should file a feature request for replacing files. Since "replace" is a usual operation I think it should be added quite fast, LaunchBar's developer is usually VERY responsive to this kind of requests. For ...

Unless I'm wrong and there is a way to easily to this I'd say it should be added under Preferences>Actions>Preferred Mail Application. For now I don't know of a way to do that. Anyone to prove me wrong? Ludwig PS: Prejudices aside… don't you think that the way Windows handles this problem (provides ...

I'm not exactly sure ow you exclude this subfolder: If you just uncheck the folder in the index it's subfolders will - of course - still be there. But if you enter the folder's name as a "skip subfolder" rule in the options tab you should be fine. I use it tio exclude my Music folder on my...

While I understand that you think it should be easy to do, I guess it's not really suitable for a LaunchBar feature - things like these should be taken care of via an applescript, just like you said. I'd suggest posting on Apple's own support forums; asking for help on how to turn on/off mirroring v...

I'm only using Safari 2, soo maybe it's a problem with the beta, but:

There's an option in LaunchBar's preferences, under the 'Actions' Pane which says 'Open URLs in current Safari window or tab'

You should check whether that option is unchecked before switching to iSeek ;-)

Well… if you're using custom icons in ~, why shouldn't you let the user decide by adding an option 'enable custom icons (might be slower)' in the configuration dialogue. Some users (like me) have their actual home directory somewhere else, so they don't get spamm ed by all the apps that write into ~...

Timers like in Quicksilver via AS

Hello! Today I first came across timers in QS here: m What I saw made me very jealous , so I decided to throw together a small AS that would do the same for me; only easier. Unfortunately I'm still a beginner in AS and so I wanted to post it here for others; you can help me make it better and use it...
