Profile (and priority) Confusion

I'm not sure I'm understanding profiles and priorities correctly. I can't seem to get rid of 'Unnecessary Priority' warnings and still have my profiles work correctly. For my tethering profile (Mobile), what I want is to deny the crap that sucks bandwidth (Adobe Cloud, software updates, etc.) but al...

Re: Sane First Experience

I think you and I are on the same page. I'd almost like a slider when you first install Little Snitch. One that ranges from: (Low Paranoia) - I only care about trojan's, viruses and criminal hacking. (Mid-Level Paranoia) - Why am I being tracked? I'm not sure I trust big companies or governments. (E...

Re: Profile Switching: Uses VPN:OpenVPN profile, not My Network upon exiting Anyconnect

I have the exact same experience with Cisco AnyConnect 3.1.14018 and macOS 10.12.5. I'm having nothing but trouble with auto-switching and VPNs. Re: Sane First Experience

You are completely correct. This is the exact reason why I can't recommend Little Snitch (or similar tools) to my family and non-technical friends. However, Little Snitch has the capability to track requests and make suggestions as to rules (Silent Mode -> allow connections, <wait a day or two>, loo...

QuickCal Integration not working with 5.1

I just updated to 5.1 and tried out the QuickCal integration. It's not working. instead of an event being created, I get the QuickCal entry window popping up with an error dialog, "Invalid URI Format - Supported format is com.smellypuppy.quickcal://add/{text}"

Any suggestions?

Post to Twitter with auto-shorten URLs (with code)

I made some minor modifications to @ptujec's script for posting to Twitter. The minor modification was auto-shortening URLs. I'm including the updated source or you can find more information on my blog at http://tedwise.com/2009/04/14/send-tweets-from-launchbar . -- This script was put together with...
