Re: Duration Calculation

Hi there. Still not getting this to work.

Tried all combinations, still not working.

Also, this is your line for receiving the date:

Code: Select all

set theDate to do shell script "date  \"+%d/%m/%Y\""

Re: Duration Calculation

Yes I read what you put earlier. It doesn't bring anything up in Launchbar.

It's saved as duration.scpt, and I pass "Sep 1, 2014" to it and nothing happens.

Re: Duration Calculation

Hi there. Thanks for the reply.

That's just a handler. Doesn't it need an actual call to use that function?

Also, how would I point all this towards a Ruby script?

Thanks

Duration Calculation

HI folks. Just wanting to see how I would go about doing a calculation. I want to know the duration between a set date, and now. Can I toss a parameter into a Ruby script and have it return the number of days? Example Find_Duration(Sep 5) -> calculation -> returns "13 days" Cheers

Re: URL Commands Changed in v6?

Not a problem. Sounds like it's been addressed.

I was going on HEX value, not utf-8. Makes sense now.

Re: URL Commands Changed in v6?

Just as a test, the following does not work. x-launchbar:calculate?argument=*&expression=(@-32)/1.8&title=@%c2%b0F%20=&result=@%c2%b0C The division works if turned into a multiplcation, but the "/" results in an error. The following confuses me as well: x-launchbar:calculate?ar...

URL Commands Changed in v6?

Hi folks. Version 6 has seen some URL Commands break. For instance, km to Miles behaves like this: - Command-Space for Launchbar - "km" to bring up "km to Miles" - spacebar to enter the km value - return to bring up the result (broken here) It brings up the "km to Miles"...

Embedded Sharepoint

Hi folks. How can I set up the following items, as it's currently not working: 1 - alpha/bravo/ indexed as search through subset 2 - alpha/bravo/charlie indexed independently without a subset I can't remember that #2 is a subset of #1, so I can't remember to look for it through a subset. I want them...

Re: Open Path...

Yeah that's pretty much what I wanted to do. I thought this would have been an obvious one for LB. Upon running this script, this is what I get: error "Finder got an error: AppleEvent handler failed." number -10000 When using "as alias", this is what it gives me (I'll post the fu...

Re: Open Path...

Hi there.

Yeah that works, but I go to various places all the time. Having a single action that allows me to point anywhere is the natural way to go about this. Like I said it's a bit strange there's nothing allowing me to point anywhere in the Finder.

Re: Open Path...

OK, good to know. Just added it to my new version 6.

I'm surprised that this isn't an obvious one, like command-shift-G in the finder.

Open Path...

Hi folks.

How can I open a location I know of? I want to open /users/rich/library/preferences/ but have no clue how to target that directory for viewing.

Any suggestions? I thought about adding it to the Index, but that seems a bit much for a single go-to.

Open Multiple URL Tabs

Hi folks. Just wondering how I turn this warning off, or change the limit which triggers this warning. I want to open a Safari Bookmark Folder, which has 9 URLs in it. I want to open all 9, but Launchbar wants to ask me "do you really want to do this?". It's unnecessary if you ask me. Scre...

Heh thanks. I whipped up a bunch of calculators for myself.
