Re: How to call Ruby Scripts in a Terminal app

OK, it's kind of a semi-request as well. The preferences could have an option of "open file" or "run file in terminal". Seeing that bash scripts can also be run, my point is that it's a big opportunity for the application to sniff out scripts. The issue with default application i...

Re: How to call Ruby Scripts in a Terminal app

Waaaay too much work.

With the inherent nature of LB, I should be able to have scripts open in the (chosen by preferences) terminal. That has massive latitude.

Re: How to call Ruby Scripts in a Terminal app

Not sure what you mean by that. I'd just like to call it by script and boom. No real need for an output. Or I'd like to have the choice.

LB Won't Dis-engage

Hi folks. I wrote an AppleScript that when run, asks the user for an input. When I launch this from LB, LB stays engaged and I have to go to the dock to click on the bouncing LB dock icon for it to go away, and the AppleScript dialog box to display. How can I get this to work right? Selecting the sc...

LB6 Can't Open Safari URL

Hi folks. I have a folder of Safari bookmarks which I open often as a complete set. I use LB6 to choose it, then I press Return. It throws an error: The address "http://toronto.craigslist.ca/search/tor/gms?sort=rel&query=Tools+" could not be opened (Error Code -1712). The URL works in ...

Re: Designing Launchbar 6 Ruby Actions

Hi there. Thanks for the reply. I'm frozen up at 4am clearing out my email. Heh. Yeah I'm past 1.9. OK, parsing the incoming string arguments (action params as I know them) is fairly straight forward. So do I have to copy the whole package and edit all this inside XCode? Thanks for walking me throug...

Designing Launchbar 6 Ruby Actions

Hi folks. Trying out some nifty low hanging fruit type actions for Launchbar 6. Integration of Ruby into a proper Launchbar 6 Action is a bit fuzzy for me. So I have some questions: ⋅ If a script trips over a gem that's not installed, does "require 'rubygems'" auto-install them? ...

Re: Duration Calculation

Thanks for the reply. Until I know how to get LB to display the text, it can't be tested. It seems documentation is to come.

Re: Duration Calculation

Hi there. Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm on version 6 as well. I'm looking to format it "X days". I tried this, and it doesn't work. Doesn't bring any calculation up at all. tell application "LaunchBar" activate set selection to x + " days" as text end tell

Re: Duration Calculation

OK, messed around with things a bit. It's half completed. This is what I have now: on handle_string(theString) -- set theDate to do shell script "date \"+%d/%m/%Y\"" set theDate to do shell script "date \"+%Y/%m/%d\"" -- set x to ((date (theString as string)) ...

Red URL in Index?

Hi folks.

Quick question. Why is there a red url for an entry in the index for search templates UTF-8? Is it wrong somehow? It works.
