Actions Bash Shell Permissions

Hi folks. I think I'm running into some permissions issues with the Bash shells I'm writing into actions. I'm trying to do a postgresql pg_dumpall -s username > $myOutput but it isn't doing anything. Using iTerm2 in the bash shell, this script works just fine. I have a pgpass file that holds the pas...

Default Action Issues with Nokogiri

Hi folks. Running a Ruby script from an Action I'm building, and I am getting Nokogiri permissions on Ruby 2.0.0 which I am not using. I have RVM installed and obviously LB isn't using that version. Anybody know how I can fix this? The system version was 2.0.0, but it's long gone. 2017-03-12 7:40:44...

Re: Finder "Go To Location..." Action?

Are you talking about Spotlight? I'm confused.

Updated: OK, found it. An Applescript. I was thinking something more integrated with LB directly.

Action URL Error - The script does not implement a handler named "run"

Hi folks. I'm confused. Yep, I am. Action Editor, upon duplication of an action, then renamed, puts it into Application Support instead of the Launchbar file Contents. So editing the script in the Action Editor and the actual LB contents... /Applications/LaunchBar.app/Contents/Resources/Actions/rf_p...

Re: Designing Launchbar 6 Ruby Actions part Deux

SOLVED

OK that was fast. Went into the Launchbar.app contents, copied an action to the desktop, modified the info.plist, wrote my Applescript that takes the single parameter, and writes it to iterm2.

Boom. Launchbar to Database completed. Let the fun begin.

Designing Launchbar 6 Ruby Actions part Deux

Hi folks. So I'm wanting to use LB to send parameters to Ruby scripts. I can split('/') on a single parameter, which is just fine. I'm not clear as to how to get LB to launch a ruby script with a parameter. I'm assuming it's an Action URL Script, but not clear on the action. I wrote a Fahrenheit to ...

Re: Finder "Go To Location..." Action?

Would be nice to use completion like Bash. Arrows don't cut it.

Re: Finder "Go To Location..." Action?

Hi there.

I think you've misinterpreted what I'm looking for. I use send-to quite often. But that means initiating from the Finder. I would like to go to a Finder window using Launchbar, much like the Command-G shortcut. So it is 100% Launchbar.

Finder "Go To Location..." Action?

Hi folks.

Is there an action that allows me to "go to location"? Let's say I want to go to /Library/Preferences/", how can I initiate that in LB? Would be nice if the dropdown provided some kind of navigation through Finder 'pwd'.

Cheers

Issue with New Twitter

Hi folks. This applescript brings up some shaky stuff in the new Twitter client for Mac. set thing to 5 tell application "Twitter" to activate I get the "Search Twitter" window, which is very strange. If I run the script in Script Editor, it works. If I call the script to be run ...

Reminders Sort Order Screwy

Hiya folks. So Reminders is the latest app I am using Launchbar for. Every month I make a list of 31 days that I check off every morning. I go through LB to mark the day. So only the remaining unchecked days show up. But, they aren't sorted properly. I just made a list of 31 days, then took out the ...

No I have not. Seems like it's what I need. I've written a custom action before this tool, so it is appearing there.

Thanks

Run Ruby Script in Terminal

Hi folks. I am back, wondering if I'm missing something. Is there a way I can run ruby scripts in the terminal, called in Launchbar? The only way I can see it is to write an applescript to get iterm2 to run the script. That seems like a bit much for a tool like Launchbar. Any advice appreciated. Che...
