Re: Option to disable new "code signature"-related forced alerts?

So @marco, can you please elaborate or point me to resources on how is this code signature validation performed. I've got few applications installed with brew, and i've noticed this blocking notification but im not really sure how to verify said code signature invalidation. Little Snitch uses funct...

Re: A couple of feature requests

I get so many alerts for each page - changing control behavior to allow faster navigation through the 10+ alerts I get would be nice: - alert timer starts immediately, does not turn off with mouse movement or app focus - have a choice of Escape to deny, Return to accept That would allow me to: - de...

Re: A couple of feature requests

1. Handle app updates intelligently: Notice that an app has "likely" been updated and ask the user if they want to transfer the old rules to the updated app. This works automatically as long as the app’s path doesn't change. This is because rules in Little Snitch store the path to the app...

Re: A couple of feature requests

I'd like research assistant to give information about the connection and if it's a safe connection or not I understand the desire to get recommendations for whether a specific connection should be allowed or denied, but who should decide that and on what grounds? We really do not want to be the one...

Re: A couple of feature requests

Additionally is it possible to identify an application from within virtual machine? (Parallel Desktop for example. If I’m not mistaken, this is not really possible without tight integration with the OS running in the VM itself. For the host OS, all network connections in the VM are usually seen as ...

Re: A couple of feature requests

A few notes: - I'd like to sort rules by date added. Sometimes you accidentally add a rule (often you click on a bunch of then), and you quickly want to undo it, for example when I accidentally also disabled a subdomain that server CSS for a webpage. The 24-hour option comes close I guess, but it st...

Re: Confused about how to use Silent Mode

Could I ask you to post a quick reminder on how to review unapproved rules here? Open Little Snitch Configuration and select “Unapproved Rules” in the list on the left-hand side. The right-hand side explains the purpose of this filter as follows: Rules created outside of Little Snitch Configuration...

Re: Little Snitch 4.0.5 blocks valid code signatu

I think you’re conflating two things here: Little Snitch can report issues with an app’s code signature , but the thing Apple issues to developers are code signing certificates . A developer needs such a certificate in order to code sign an app. Regardless, it sounds to me as if Little Snitch report...

Re: micro snitch logs

It sounds to me like Micro Snitch (or rather a helper contained in it that is used to launch Micro Snitch when you log in) cannot be executed because it is quarantined. I assume you downloaded Micro Snitch from our website? If you then unzipped and moved the app to the Applications folder, Finder sh...

Re: Option to disable new "code signature"-related forced alerts?

Glad to hear the workaround works for now! FYI: The reason why I asked about “no code signature” specifically is that the wording is quite important here. There’s a huge difference between “no code signature” and “invalid code signature”. The former means that the executable or process is simply not...

Re: Option to disable new "code signature"-related forced alerts?

We found that the current implementation of this behavior is a bit more aggressive than originally intended. This will be improved in an upcoming release. We haven’t discussed yet if there should be an option to turn this off entirely, but we will take your feedback into consideration. For now, you ...

Re: HomeBrew Users?

Thank you for your feedback! Please correct me if I'm wrong, but currently there's a backup/restore option which is gui only and it's all or nothing. Correct. This is a complete restore of Little Snitch’s rules, profiles and settings that can only be done using the GUI. More flexibility with options...

No, the kext-dev-mode boot argument is not supported anymore, as mentioned here:
