Re: Lauch keys play list...

Why would this be helpful? If I don’t remember the assigned abbreviation, I just type the name or parts of the name as long as LB narrows down the search to a hit (this is quicker than looking at a list, imho). Then LB starts to learn the new abbreviation or I assign a new abbreviation manually with...

Re: Selecting folders not working in LB dialogs?

I doubt this is related to the shortcoming of the Mac OX Carbon framework but I am not sure. It works just fine for me. Are you sure you are following the correct steps? Actually, I do it with less steps in save dialogue boxes: 1) Invoke the save dialogue box from the application 2) Invoke LB 3) Loc...

Re: Assigning launch keys...

Do you mean to assign a new abbreviation? If so, invoke LB, search for a specific application, hit Cmd+Alt+A, type the new desired abbreviation. Holding the last letter of an abbreviation triggers Instant Send as you probably know.

Problems with Espionage's symbolic links

I have the problem that LB doesn’t index symbolic links created by Espionage . Espionage is an encryption tool that "looks" specific folders by encryption and creates symbolic links when it "unlocks" such folders. The developer of Espionage, Greg, told me that LB seems to have pr...

I am glad that MsgFiler works for you, too. I really like this little plugin.

Cheers,

Re: Move mail msg to folder

Are you talking about a folder inside Mail.app oder outside Mail.app? Would be interesting to know whether it is possible to use LB for moving messages inside and/or outside Mail.app. However, I use a plugin called MsgFiler to move messages quickly inside Mail.app (there is another called Mail Act-O...

Re: Wolfram Search how?

Actually, I don't know whether there is a "factory configuration" or not but what do you expect as search result? I have compared a search using the search field from the WA website and a search done with LB and the mentioned search template and I can't see a difference.... as said, I am n...

Re: suggestion: add triggers to Launchbar

pendolino - I am not familiar with Delicious and haven't tried to access its bookmarks via LB. However, I believe this isn't a question of triggers but a problem to index the Delicious bookmarks because they are not stored as html. There is another thread discussing this problem; maybe one of the di...

Re: suggestion: add triggers to Launchbar

Thanks for clarification, pendolino! It really looks like triggers are very useful. However, I believe much of your examples you can do in a very similar way with LB: - ctrl-F opens a new finder window Invoke LB (CMD-Space by default) and hold "F" and Instant Open will open a new Finder wi...

Re: suggestion: add triggers to Launchbar

I am not familiar with Quicksilver and would like to know what do you mean by "triggers" exactly. As far reference is made to Spark (or Keyboard Maestro, QuicKeys, iKey...) or DragThing it seems to mean shortcuts for launching applications but this is something you could do (at least nearl...

Re: Quicksilver switcher - A couple things I miss...

I prefer the small and unintrusive UI of LB; the Bezel "Theme" isn't the way for me. However, an option for users with other needs might be a solution as long as it hasn't the consequence of a bloated use of memory.

Re: [Feature Request] Auto select second clipboard history item

I am not sure if this is really necessary. Have you tried to get used to invoke the second clipboard item by hitting the clipboard short cut twice? You colud also hit twice the clipboard short cut which paste the item directly in the moment you release the keys...

Probably not the most elegant way but it seems to work fine:

Hope it works for you...

Re: Automatic Start up

I am not familiar with Quicksilver and, therefore, not sure if I understand your feature request correctly. Do yo mean the "feature" that Launchbar starts at login automatically? If so then I would recommend to put Launchbar in the list of startup items in MAC OS X System Preferences...
