Re: Several security dialogs every reboot on Mavericks

I agree. I have granted LaunchBar all the permissions it asks for. But I still get the same dialogs every time I restart LaunchBar. This is unacceptable.

Re: Index updates with system reboot - this is a problem

This might be exactly what I've been complaining about here: http://forums.obdev.at/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6725#p24830 This is new behavior in Mountain Lion. Actually in Snow Leopard the same thing happened but it happened instantly. In Mountain Lion, everything is gummed up for two minutes at laun...

Re: insansely slow startup on Mountain Lion

I'm posting in this thread in order to keep the thread alive. I'm still having this problem. I can't get any work done after restart until LaunchBar has finished reading its own index, and that's taking something like two minutes. Notice that this is not a matter of reindexing; all LaunchBar is supp...

Re: Problems with LaunchBar Clipboard History and arrow keys

Oooooh oooooh I know the answer teacher call on me teacher call on me! You have to keep holding down the modifier key (Control in your case). Don't let it up until you've arrowed to the right entry in the clipboard. Then let it up and that entry will be pasted into your document.

Re: Sometimes Launchbar will not find app from my abbrviatio

When I experience this issue, it's because I'm trying too early after startup: LaunchBar has not yet built its index of applications. It really helps if you check the General option "Automatically show and hide Indexing Progress" so you know when the index has finished. On Mountain Lion es...

Re: insansely slow startup on Mountain Lion

In addition to the very time-consuming "Reading Applications Index" stage, LaunchBar often gets completely stuck on the Indexing User Accounts phase. The only thing you can do is quit LaunchBar and relaunch it.

Re: insansely slow startup on Mountain Lion

I have more information about this issue. It appears to be due to asking LaunchBar to look for applications on the other partition. If I confine LaunchBar's idea of where the applications are to the boot partition, the initial reading / processing of the Applications index is much faster. Unfortunat...

Re: insansely slow startup on Mountain Lion

What works here is to restart LaunchBar and manually reindex all rules (cmd + 0) I don't see what effect that has. There are two problems here. First, LaunchBar is insanely slow after a restart and automatic launch to start getting ready for use. It can be as long as five minutes after restart befo...

Re: Launchbar not working right after upgrade to Mountain Lion

I agree that LaunchBar is very slow starting up in Mountain Lion, and very slow forming its initial index; and once it has started up and done the index, it is very slow responding the first time you try to "talk" to it through shortcuts (slow to appear, and slow to respond to an abbreviat...

LS 3 Preview time-limit suggestion

Since the LS 3 Preview is fated to expire completely on a certain date, I feel it should not also "expire" after 3 hours of use. I'm unwilling to use it because it turns itself off after 3 hours. Many others may feel this way too, so you're losing the benefit of their experimentation and s...

Update Index doesn't update index

When I try to manually update the index, it isn't updated. For example I expect that when I command the Applications index to be updated, LaunchBar will comb my hard disk for applications. Instead, it just reads in the existing index and stops, in a fraction of a second.

Re: why does Little Snitch DP4 claim to be installed already?

Why? It seems a straightforward question. Here's a screen shot. I assure you that LittleSnitch is NOT installed, but the installer claims it is. I am not going to proceed any further with this: the fact that the installer gets this wrong makes me mistrustful. http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/985/alr...

insansely slow startup on Mountain Lion

LaunchBar Version 5.3 nightly (934) starts up unbelievably slowly each time on my machine (Mountain Lion preview 4). It just takes forever (several minutes) to get through the part where it reads the Applications index. I don't use the Spotlight index, but in any case that's not the point - it isn't...

why does Little Snitch DP4 claim to be installed already?

I would like to install Little Snitch DP 4 on Mountain Lion Preview 4. When I launch the installer, it says that Little Snitch is already installed on this machine, and asks me if I want to upgrade. But it is not installed on this machine as far as Mountain Lion is concerned; this is a completely cl...
