Re: LaunchBar much too small

Actually, I disagree. The unobtrusiveness is one of LB's strong points. It doesn't distract me from what I'm doing, but simply makes it easier. And it provides larger type—in-your-face larger—when you do a calculation, look at a phone number...that sort of thing. Well, of course it's a matter of op...

Re: LaunchBar much too small

I completely agree, I've gone from Quick silver to Google Quick search bar and have now gone to Launchbar for the reliability and speed, but the Font is so small I find myself leaning forward to the screen as well. I test Alfred and its like a sight for sore eyes. and LaunchBar is a great tool. It ...

Re: LaunchBar much too small

I agree with you. Just tried „Alfred“ from the App Store. It won’t replace Launchbar (how could it?) Well it could quite easily if the developer gets the developer API working. I'd love to see alfred allow 3rd party plugins or API (only via PowerPack). I'd love LaunchBar to have just a larger launc...

Re: LaunchBar should be on the Mac App Store

Not sure it would be a good idea to go head to head with Alfred on the app store. Alfred has got an engaging and active developer and is fast becoming a religion. Folk love it, even though it doesn't do half the stuff that Quicksilver and Launchbar do. (I guess for most people, it's enough). Apple a...

Re: One search term for all templates

I switched from QS years ago but it still annoys me how LB remembers one search term per template. If I just looked something up on Wikipedia and now go to Google it's far more likely that I want to search for the same thing rather than repeat what I googled yesterday. Yes, I'd like a drop down so ...

Even open source projects with a couple of developers move faster.. And your point of that comparison is… ? Different developers move at different paces for different reasons. What a revelation. Well, to call it 'pace', it really ought to move ... I still tend to think of LB as being in 'maintenanc...

Re: Development progress

Very true, and Norbert's support of LSB tends to be a little more hands-off since there are a so many folk who are experts around here. Still many questions can go unanswered for weeks and many don't get answered at all, none of which gives the impression of an 'actively developed' application to an...

Re: Development progress

Oh, I agree with that. It already does pretty much everything that most people would want, but the poster was clearly asking about a specific feature, and I don't see anything like that coming in a nightly build. I also don't think that an API qualifies as creeping featurism, and would certainly mak...

Re: Development progress

Mmmm.

I would say that the nightly builds are more akin to 'maintenance mode' than active development.

Seems that we have a few small updates for LB (which is nice), so I thought I'd take the opportunity to ask again for a larger display.

Re: suggestion: add triggers to Launchbar

Snow Leopard has support for some of the things that Triggers can provide in the Keyboard Prefs. When I switched to Launchbar, I replaced my Quicksilver Triggers with Keyboard Maestro http://bit.ly/clv5W7 . The combo works well together. Perhaps a link that went to an information page, rather than ...

Bug: Custom list loses metadata?

Hi there. I have set up a custom list that points to files and folders on a network drive. When I navigate to the custom list I've noticed that, every so often, the items in the list are showing default icons, and I can't drill down into the folders. The only way around this is to restart LB which i...
