What the above poster mentions is also the problem with interpreted languages like PHP and Ruby. You either allow all programs written in them access, or none :(

Perhaps he really can't, or just has a better way of spending $25. Or perhaps he can, but prefers using FOSS solutions to commercial ones. Yes but there are better places to ask this than here, don't you think? What's up with people asking on the forum of a commercial company for a way NOT to pay t...

Re: LS Competitors (freeware)

I am new to the Mac, and I love LS as an application. I was wondering if this community can recommend LS competitors which are free to use (even though their feature set is no where near what LS boasts). I don't want to start a flame war. I really am new to the Mac and as such I am not aware of all...

Re: two feature suggestions

2) allow by top level domain NAME! It's tedious saying YES to 300 request to allow access to server&port for g329d.google.com, g329e.google.com, g329f.google.com.... etc. Just create a rule to allow (or deny) access to "*.google.com" At least, that's what I've been doing and it works ...

Yup, happened to me too. Twice so far.

At first I just though "hmmm, didn't I approve this already" but then I realized that it must be Little Snitch who's forgetting things =)

The name is awkwardly long indeed.

Also, IMO, the app should either:

- Remain "LS Config" and auto-close when rules are closed (like a "modal" application)

_OR_

- Be renamed to "Little Snitch" if something else will be done in it in the future.
