“Search Evernote Notes” in v5.4

The “Search Evernote Notes” functionality added in v5.4 is a step in the right direction. It's still buggy, though. Launchbar always adds quotation marks and thus always triggers a search for quoted phrases. A search for "foobar" may yield different results than a search for foobar . For e...

Re: Launchbar can't send to Sparrow

I understand the OP's problem is this: You instand-send a selection (text or file) to Launchbar, then invoke an "Send e-mail to contact X" action. Instead of a new e-mail in Sparrow, a new e-mail is opened in Mail.app with the selection attached or inserted. I have this very problem. Very ...

V5.2 breaks compatibility with shortcuts manager Spark

Hi there! In V5.2 [2012-04-17 and later], there is a conflict between Launchbar and Spark (m). When Spark is active, the majority of Launchbar's keyboard shortcuts are executed on the frontmost application window. In other words, keypresses "fall through" to the window behind Launchbar. Th...

Re: Instant open a new browser window?

So what browser do you use? In any case, ApplesScript comes to the rescue. If you're using Safari: tell application "Safari" activate open location "about:blank" end tell For any browser without "true" AppleScript support (e.g. Firefox, Chrome...): set browserisrunning ...

Re: Copy File Path

Hi there! If you're not totally reluctant to using your mouse, you may want to try this: 1. Hit "Cmd + S" to open the Save File dialog 2. Fire up Launchbar and search for the desired folder 3. Drag the folder icon from Launchbar and drop it on the Save File dialog I find this method more c...

Re: LB running at 250-300mb!

Are you keeping your index lean, that is: free of items you usually don't access via Launchbar anyway? I'd suspect that the bigger the index becomes and the more often locations are re-checked, the more resources Launchbar uses. For example, I'd advise against scanning your entire Home directory inc...

Re: Cannot switch to app from Running Applications

That's correct.

While we're at it: I think it would be nice if pressing enter would (optionally) mimic the behavior of a click on the app's dock icon and re-activate its window(s) or open a new window if none exists (in short: send a reopen event).

Happy Holidays, y'all!

Missing "Show in iTunes" and "Play and Open in iTunes"

According to the Online Help , Command-Control-Return reveals a selected song in iTunes and Control-Return activates iTunes in addition to starting the playback. These shortcuts don't work for me. Hitting them doesn't invoke anything. If I open the action menu for a selected song and press down the ...

Hotkey to open Action Menu

Okay, I feel like I may be overlooking the obvious but I can't find a way to open the action menu for selected items via keyboard. I've looked everywhere (Offline help, online help, forums...).

(CMD-)Clicking on the selected item seems to be the only way. Is that correct?

Re: [Feature Request] Podcasts Category on iTunes Index

I think this request is similar to mine. If Podcasts were a disctinct category that can also be exluded from search results then I'd be a happier iTunes user. IMHO, the average user listens to music titles repeatedly but podcast episodes are usually played only once, so there's little need to have p...
