Re: Request: ForkLift support

I came across this thread because I was struggling with this too. At least for the simple case of opening folders, try Cmd + Return from LaunchBar. This triggers a Reveal/Show in Finder which should open the folder in ForkLift if you've set ForkLift as your default file browser using: defaults write...

Upload files to active Transmit 4 favorite

You'll need to be connected to a favorite, as opposed to an "ad hoc" connection in Transmit for this to work. The other important note is that this script will ignore your settings for "When an item already exists…" in Preferences > Transfers. The script will always overwrite the...

Re: QuickCal Integration not working with 5.1

Nothing in Console.app as far as I can see.

I'm running QuickCal Version 3.0.2 (1461) - it is the trial version downloaded from their site, I haven't bought it yet.

Let me know if I can provide any other information to help you troubleshoot.

Re: QuickCal Integration not working with 5.1

I'm seeing the same thing on 5.1.3 when trying to add events.

As an example I am entering things like "Appointment 10am Sunday"

Re: Launchbar and TextMate environment variables

It's hard to say without knowing more detail, but with the example you've given, that could be accomplished through AppleScript. Quick and dirty example: tell application "TextMate" set docPath to the path of document 1 display alert docPath end tell Of course, this example will give you t...

Re: set google maps default location

Here's what I use, you'll need to substitute your own city and address in the templates. In these examples, the city is "Toronto, ON", and the address is "379 Avenue Rd." Name: Toronto Google Maps URL: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=*+Toronto+ON Name: Directions in Toronto URL: ht...

Re: keyboard shortcut for spotlight search

To me this seems way outside the scope of what LaunchBar should be doing natively. You might be able to write an AppleScript to do it, and use LaunchBar to run the script.

Re: Text modification - Changing cases

Just wanted to bump this to see if anyone has this working. I use this type of thing quite a bit and I've had to actually (gasp) use my mouse and bring up the services menu that way.

Re: Permanent paste items?

I think you'll find most people use a text expanding tool for that type of thing. TextExpander, Typinator, or even the built-in expansion in Snow Leopard.

I agree, this would be very nice. I often copy files over my network via LaunchBar and would love to see some sort of progress indicator.

Re: A way to search your current website with google ?

If you're using Safari, here's a fun tip. Get the Google Site Search bookmarklet from here: m Add it to your bookmark bar. If you have it in the first nine positions, you can access it via keyboard shortcut. For example, put it on the far left of your bookmark bar, then press Cmd-1 to bring it up. V...

Re: Trying to script LaunchBar itself - space key?

If anyone is curious, I ended up ditching the "trigger" because although it's less keystrokes, running the AppleScript is slow.

The search field comes up quicker for me if I hit Cmd-Space, G, Space. Bit of muscle memory retraining.

norbert, that's great! I'm really loving all the little touches in LaunchBar.

Would there by any possibility of adding other default index pages to this functionality? index.php for the PHP folks like myself, index.aspx for ASP, etc.

Re: Trying to script LaunchBar itself - space key?

After looking through the documentation (which is awesome, by the way), I found a much better way of selecting Google. http://www.obdev.at/resources/launchbar/help/URLCommands.html I'd rather avoid the System Events call altogether, but this is at least quicker and more consistent. tell application ...
