Re: 'Press the space bar to trigger text input'

For calendars, you need to pick the exact calendar to add to. For example: "Calendar" <space> "Work" Once you pick a (non-read-only) calendar, you should be prompted with a text field to enter an event. You can also skip the first steps and just search for a calendar name directl...

Re: [LB6 Action] Keyboard Maestro Macros

Works great. Thanks. KM has something like this built in, but the window is uglier, and I always forget the keyboard shortcut for it, so it's nice to trigger from LB with a simple "kmm".

Re: Pinboard Actions (LaunchBar 6)

I've updated this extension with a new `Pinboard: Unread` action that just lists all your unread bookmarks. Just re-download and double-click again to overwrite the old actions if you're interested.

Re: Adding a new program for opening a file

Photoshop should be there (assuming it's installed into /Applications or some other reasonable place). I do this all the time: ⌘-space (long hold) on something in the Finder, type "PS" or similar for Photoshop (Acorn, Pixelmator, whatever), and `Return` to open it. If you don't see Photosh...

Re: Pinboard Actions (LaunchBar 6)

What about Delicious? … Yes its still alive ;)

Not to me. :) All the cool kids are rockin' Pinboard these days. They use basically the same API, so probably not hard too adapt, but I don't plan on it since I don't personally use Delicious.

Re: Synchronize iPhone/iPod Touch

I do this with an AppleScript. You'll need to repeat the `try` block for each device you have (unless there's a way to tell iTunes to sync the current device, which I didn't see). Just replace name of the device after `update` with your device names. Also, if you don't have Growl installed you can r...

Re: Timer script: Display delayed messages (without hacks)

I don't think this adds anything over the AppleScript version, but, coincidentally, I've been doing almost the exact same thing with a ruby script. It assumes you have Growl installed (with growlnotify in your PATH). The syntax is "some message <minutes>", e.g., "check laundry 30"...

Re: How to search in Javadoc

Google "Lucky" searches are great for searching lots of online docs. I also use this for searching JavaScript pretty often.

Re: How to search in Javadoc

If you have internet access, you can just use a Google "I'm feeling lucky" search. Add a new search template like this to search the Java 6 docs:
