Re: Integration with 3rd party apps is disabled in 1Password

They emailed me and told me how. Open the index (option-I when you have LaunchBar invoked). On the left, you'll see all of the rules listed. Delete the 1Password rule.

Integration with 3rd party apps is disabled in 1Password

I get this message every time I log-in or restart: "Integration with 3rd party apps is disabled in 1Password." How can I disable it so I don't have to see this every time I login? I don't want Launchbar to integrate with 1Password. I tried removing 1Password from the Launchbar index, but t...

Syncing Launchbar with Dropbox

Can someone walk me through the steps required to sync Launchbar with Dropbox so I can use the same triggers etc. on multiple computers? I searched the forums and saw something about creating a symbolic link. I found an application called SymbolicLink Maker that puts a command in the Services menu. ...

10.7 compatibility

Is LB 5.1.2 compatible with Lion? I see only two threads here discussing some issues, but is it mostly compatible? Will there be a new version that is fully compatible?

Transferring settings to new computer?

I have to do a clean install of OS X. I will not be migrating my user data automatically, so I'll have to move it manually. What files do I need to move in order to transfer my LaunchBar settings, and where do I find those files?

Fastest way to open blank email to contact?

What is the fastest way (fewest keystrokes) to compose a new email (without attachment) to a contact in my Address Book? I remember seeing something in the Help file but can't find it.

Question about browsing files and folders

I'd love to be able to search for documents and folders a few layers deep in my documents folder, but I'm concerned about cluttering up LB too much. Any tips?

Re: suggestion: add triggers to Launchbar

You're right, it is complete overkill - but it works. I think what I might do is use QS for triggers (since it's free and DragThing is not) and Launchbar for everything else. I greatly prefer Launchbar to QS for my normal workflow, and find it to be far more stable in 10.6.

Using LB as alternative to Spotlight search?

I cannot use Spotlight anymore on my Macbook because two Spotlight processes, "mds" and "mdsworker" are complete CPU hogs (often consuming 90%+) and make the fan go crazy. I've tried troubleshooting this for weeks, but at this point I'm just fed up with Spotlight and I'm looking ...

Re: suggestion: add triggers to Launchbar

I'd like to raise my hand for this too! I found a temporary solution in the meantime, which is to use DragThing. You can easily set up hotkeys to open folders, applications, documents, etc. I assume it can be used to run AppleScripts but I haven't tried it for that. I've configured it so that I neve...

Is there any way to do triggers with Launchbar?

I'm considering switching to LB from QS. So far I like what I see. However, the one function I absolutely cannot live without is triggers. I currently have QS set up so that I can open Safari, Mail, iCal, NetNewsWire, and several other applications simply by pressing one button on my keyboard (I've ...
