Re: LB 5RC1 and Firefox 3 Bookmark/History Problem

I guess there has been no resolution to this problem yet?

Selecting the places.sqlite file from your active firefox profile *still* produces no indexing :(

Re: Selecting folders not working in LB dialogs?

Yes, strictly speaking this "go to folder" is only claimed to ever work for open/save dialogs although it would seem natural to extend this to any dialog in which a folder is to be selected. Yes using the history to copy a file and then coming back to LB to do a paste in this dialog is an ...

Re: Selecting folders not working in LB dialogs?

Yes those roughly 4 steps have been working fine for me in all application-conducive dialogues but doesn't seem to work in LBs? The differences are 1) Step 1 is not a "save dialog" but a "select dialog" (the one that comes up when adding a new file/folder to LB's "Custom Lis...

Selecting folders not working in LB dialogs?

I frequently add new folders and files to LB's "Custom List". In selecting a new file/folder I would like to use LB as per You can use LaunchBar to quickly select a folder in Open/Save dialogs of other applications. Instead of clicking and scrolling within the dialog, press the /-key (forw...

Re: Is "Running Unix Executables" working?

Well apparently not in my set up.

Instead just place (the following) shell script in an apple-script file placed in Actions to activate it via launchbar.

do shell script "/full/path/to/shell/script"

Is "Running Unix Executables" working?

LaunchBar must be able to distinguish a Shell Script from an ordinary plain text file. First, make sure that your script contains a proper shebang line: #!/usr/bin/ruby puts 'Hello world' Further, the script must have execute permissions set to make LaunchBar recognize it as a Unix Executable: chmo...

Re: Spaces Teleporting

Hello. This script seems like just what I need... And this script works fine if I run it standalone. However, when I execute the script from LaunchBar, I completely lose the ability to use the keyboard (in all applications!) until I log out and log back in. Also, I notice that the spaces grid stays...

Re: Spaces Teleporting

Going Back to the Last Space Visited. Sometimes I even forget the name of the space or the fact that it was the last space pops into my head first. Hence it can be useful to use launchbar to go back to the previous space. Here's how to do it. 1. Download Hyperspaces (probably wouldn't for just this...

I have tried the following: * Transfer the lic...

Re: Spaces Teleporting

An update on choosing modifier keys. It turns out that ^ number is useful in a few applications that I use so that the teleporting as previously suggested ends up masking this functionality. This has a workaround that improves the situation but doesn't solve it. That is, one can in the system prefer...

LB, why don't you learn from my directory search?

LB apparently uses a sophisticated "adaptive evaluation algorithm" (AASv4 if you don't mind) to match abbreviations and I guess you only notice it when it "fails". Why wouldn't it include the following then? When you drill down to a file/folder how about the entire string that ma...

Exporting Custom Preferences

Is there an automatic way of exporting LB's preferences so the aliases/scripts I have constructed on the desktop can also work on my laptop?

Thanks.

Instant Send to Scrivener by project/file/folder

Doing an instant send on selected text to Scrivener places the text in a "Clippings" Folder in the latest edited Scrivener project. For this to be a useful filer though, I need to be able to first select the project and then the folder/file within that project. Currently trying to select a...

Changing all of LB's keyboard shortcuts.

Is there a general way of customizing all of LB's shortcuts? For me the history of recent items is much much more useful than application switching and hence I would prefer to reserve command-space-space for cycling through these recent items. Is this possible?
