Re: Import local stored lsrules?

You're welcome ! If you find a Germany specific subscription service, I'd be interested to see that if you'd be kind enough to share.

Re: Import local stored lsrules?

Au contraire, I'm glad the developers decided to only allow rule group subscriptions from https sources. It's safer and less likely to go un-noticed. You can serve them directly from Github pages for free. If you'd rather cut corners than take care of your security perhaps it's not the right product...

Re: 5224 Build bug, carried over from prior build

I'm also running nightly build 5224 but on Mojave 10.14. So far, all's good. I'm not seeing network monitor vanish when an alert box appears. I did see a problem similar to this once. IIRC the LS daemon was crashing and restarting and the only visible sign was the network monitor re-opening. If you ...

Re: 4.2 Network Monitor crashing on Mojave

btw, this seems to be related to remote rulesets. Doing a fresh install of LS without my rules and configuration seems to fix the issue that started when LS did it's daily check of my remote rulesets. I saw in another thread someone say there's no uninstaller for LS, for info, there's one in the zip...

4.2 Network Monitor crashing on Mojave

I'm a problem with Little Snitch Network Monitor the day after upgrading to 4.2 and macOS Mojave 10.14.0. I've tried rebooting this 2017 iMac to no avail. Network Monitor keeps crashing. Whereas normally LS checks my remote rules server once every 24 hours, logs show that it's reading them every min...

Re: Rule Groups: Great idea but not very useful right now. I have suggestions!

I've been testing this and found it to work as described and it's almost perfect for my needs. It will only check for rule updates either daily or weekly. Otherwise you have to get the user to open LS Configuration and manually run the update. I would prefer more control over that but otherwise you ...

New directions for Littlesnitch 4.1

I'm really pleased to see some of the new features announced in LittleSnitch 4.1. Some well thought out solutions to help sysadmins working in a multiuser environment are very encouraging to see. I'm looking forward to testing and providing feedback to the obdev team who have proved they are listeni...

Re: HomeBrew Users?

@marco it's great to hear that you are working on these things, even if it's too early to talk about them. It's also very reassuring to know I can get quick feedback from you on this forum. I believe your explanation about the Forever option has answered my question. I haven't checked but it sounds ...

Re: HomeBrew Users?

@marco I understand the reasons for the choices Obdev have made in the past to maximise security, but I think now's a good time to review some aspects of Littlesnitch administration. As you say, gui scripting is disabled by default but users have the possibility to enable it, if they deem the risk w...

Re: HomeBrew Users?

@marco thank you for your help. I was blaming code signatures when probably the problem is elsewhere. What I'm looking for are rules that don't need renewing after homebrew updates. As you'll know, when a utility installed via homebrew is updated, the link that points to the software changes to a ne...

Re: HomeBrew Users?

Please correct me if I am wrong but it seems that the situation is made worse by the fact that every time Homebrew formulae are updated, the Littlesnitch config needs manually renewing. Some of us want to run unsigned, regularly updated software without Littlesnitch making life overly complicated. I...
