Yes, that does work.
Just make sure to set it to "Domains" instead of "Hostnames". Then enter all the TLDs you want to block separated with a regular comma.

Do you have a few example IPs?
If they're in the same IP range you could specify that as a connection rule (described here: https://forums.obdev.at/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=212#p32839)
