Re: Single action search

Not a direct answer to your question, but did you know that you could just bring up LaunchBar and press down on e to have the search prompt open up?

Which version of LaunchBar are you using? I am using v6.8.

Re: Finder "Go To Location..." Action?

Try creating it.

Code for "Template URL":

Code: Select all

x-launchbar:select?file=*

Updated: OK, found it. An Applescript. I was thinking something more integrated with LB directly.

No. It's built into LB.

Re: don't understand how to create new google calendar event

Ronald,

Bring up LaunchBar, type CAL go to Calendars (application or indexing rule), press right arrow key, select your Google calendar and hit return or space to begin creating your event.

Page 91 of Take Control of LaunchBar covers this in depth.

Re: Instant open a new browser window?

How about assigning a single key shortcut say,

Code: Select all

s
as a custom abbreviation to launch Safari? Then you just bring up Launchbar, type and keep the "s" key pressed down to launch Safari.

Re: Pasting URL direct from launchbar

Not possible with the built-in features, as far as I know. Perhaps doable with a custom action.

Re: display today calender entries

I use HyperDock software and it adds previews for dock items. So when I hover on my Calendar dock item, it shows my today's and tomorrow's events. http://d.pr/i/nxth+ You could also try adding a calendar widget in the notifications sidebar and see if the events appear there. They don't for me.

Re: Opening airdrop

Select an item, press Tab, and start typing

Code: Select all

airdrop
and you should find it.

It's a built-in action.

Re: Finder "Go To Location..." Action?

You could use the built-in

Code: Select all

Go to
search template.

Bring it up in LaunchBar, paste your desired location to go to, and hit return twice to open that in your default file browser.
