Re: nsurlsessiond

Hi Florian,

we are currently investigating such issues.
Can you possibly give me some more hints on your existing rules for the nsurlsessiond via https://www.obdev.at/support/index.html ... ic=contact ?

Kind regards,
Simon

Re: System Preference 'Allow' not working

This could be related to some extended security mechanisms of the macOS system. Pressing the Allow button won’t take effect if you are connecting to the machine via Remote Desktop/screen-sharing, or if the mouse/trackpad is emulated by a 3rd party application (MagicPrefs, BetterTouchTool, Synergy, e...

Re: Indexing Is Much Too Frequent

An indexed rule in LaunchBar can be triggered for re-indexing by several reasons, but mainly because some modification on the indexed items has been recognized by the systems fseventsd notifications.

Perhaps you can try to narrow down such constant re-indexing to certain file/folder indexing rules?

Re: Mac doesn't start after installing Little Snitch 4.0.5

Sorry for your troubles. We are aware of a few users with such issue at our tech-support but unfortunately have not been able to narrow down the problem yet and are still investigating. For some users safe-mode did help, others had to boot from the recovery partition and reinstall the macOS system f...

Re: Battery usage

I remember a similar case where both the 'LaunchBar' and the 'pkd' processes were running on high CPU usage, and this latter 'PluginKit Daemon' process possibly gets active because OS X Sharing Services get indexed by LaunchBar during some constant re-indexing of one of your active index rules. An i...

Re: Google Chrome Stopped Working under Little Snitch

In case Little Snitch blocks any processes, this will be shown in the Little Snitch Network Monitor (hostname or IP in red color). You can click on the small magnifier symbol at the upper right search-field and choose: 'Status: Denied' to filter these connections. You could then check the blocked co...

Re: Dealing with a plethora of dialogues.

The Little Snitch Agent identifies a process that terminated, and thus displays the Alert Window with the 'Terminated' hint, so you can create permanent (forever) rules for that process, even the current connection request doesn't apply anymore. The Google Updater is somehow tricky, as it creates ne...

Re: Symlinks in applications folder

In fact the Application indexing does not include the symbolic links.
You could add your /usr/local/homebrew-cask/ folder to the list of specific places in your Application indexing options.

Re: coreaudiod?

I assume you are using an AppleTV or another AirPlay device… the coreaudiod checks for connections to such devices.

Re: Is Little Snitch deanonymizing Tor users ?

According to the description of the user the mDNSResponder itself cached the address so I would assume this issue is about a leak between the Tor Browser and the mDNSResponder. Here are some comments at another blog post which give a similar answer about the DNS leak:

Re: Anyone else using Busy Contacts on a Mac, rather than Contacts?

With the latest LaunchBar and BusyContacts releases it should be possible to change the default contact application in LaunchBar to BusyContacts. To do so, please open Terminal.app and copy and paste the following command: defaults write at.obdev.LaunchBar ShowInAddressBookURLPrefix "busycontac...

Re: Recently opened documents and El Capitan

This is in fact an issue related to El Capitan. The location for the 'recent documents' information is totally different now (To be exactly it changed to ~/Library/Application Support/com.apple.sharedfilelist/com.apple.LSSharedFileList.ApplicationRecentDocuments instead of ~/Library/Preferences/com....
