Re: Snippets Restrictions

Excellent. Didn't know I could assign to snippets. I guess they're an object all the same.

Snippets Restrictions

Hi folks. I'm hoping I'm overlooking the value of Snippets. I'm often wanting keyboard shortcuts for bits of code I'm wanting to get at. I'm tired of writing "PostgreSQL" as it's cumbersome. It doesn't flow nicely and I find myself cursing every time I need to refer to it. PG is a gem that works wit...

Re: Ruby Value Paste Here

Well, I made a Ruby script that puts a UUID into the clipboard as a string. How can I use Ruby to "paste clipboard in current focus"? Initiated by Ruby, basically telling the Finder to paste. Or Launchbar to "Paste in Frontmost Application". Can this be done? Best way? Cheers

Ruby Value Paste Here

Hi folks. I'm creating video clips that I want to name individually. Basically use Ruby or Bash to generate a uuid value as a string, copy that to the clipboard, then paste that "wherever I am now", or current focus. Any insight how I can do that? Generating the uuid isn't the issue. It's ...

Action: Run Selected File in iTerm

Hi folks. Continuing in a new thread I started ages ago... I'm trying to run a selected file in the Finder, inside iTerm. i'm thinking I could use AppleScript, but bash is what I'm focussing on. Originally I was thinking this is all about running ruby scripts, but bash scripts can be done as well. I...

Re: Google Video Search Template

It seemed to look like it was going to work, but 404s:

Re: Slow search in LaunchBar 6.9.3

Troubleshooting LB means finding out how much memory it usually takes, and monitoring how far above it goes. When this happens, I check the index and find that mounted volumes on the network (SAN) have made it into Mounted Volumes, and it can take forever to index, as well as run the index to a stup...

SAN Mounted Volumes in Mounted Volumes

Hi folks.

How can I keep a mounted share point from entering the Mounted Volumes in the index? It's taking LB over a GB in memory for a remote storage volume I don't want indexed to begin with.

Re: Feature Available? / Request

Hi there. Thanks for the reply.

Ya that's the problem, that it's 3 keys that are specific when I automatically go to LB. But good to know.

Feature Available? / Request

Hi folks.

Would be nice to get into the menus without having to go to the mouse. Is there anything I should know about? Third party software? LB should have this.

keyboard command->selects first post-Apple menu

Cheers

Re: Finder "Go To Location..." Action?

Developers often trudge through the "no-man's-land" files in places like /Library, etc. On mounted volumes, such as FreeBSD machines, we often bring up files that aren't on OSX. While in the terminal, where I spend a lot of time, autocompletion is very useful and popular. So when the focus...

LB Calls Ruby Scripts As...

Hi folks. Wrote some actions, and they've run into an issue with RVM and its default gemset. The gemset isn't included so it can't require third party gems. Or so I am finding. Anybody know how to get around this? I've modified the shebang so that the proper default RVM Ruby is being used, but for s...
