Re: Beta 2 upgrade problem on High Sierra beta 2

The basic idea by Apple is, if a kext is already installed then it should not be necessary to confirm it again after an update. Maybe that failed. But because of HS or because of LS? Well that's a lucky surprise when two betas getting mixed. Did you uninstall everything before re-install? Was the ke...

Re: Beta 2 upgrade problem on High Sierra beta 2

It a feature, not a problem. For solution see above: To complete the installation of Little Snitch you have to allow loading the extension in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General. And you have to do this in between 30 minutes otherwise macOS is kicking the extension out of the club ...

Re: Feature Desperately Needed

Sorry, but you are simply all wrong! LS is designed as a security app to deal with current behaviours in your network traffic. The network monitor is just a simple support window, an extra, to double check what is going on if you do not understand. The feature you are asking for is something totally...

Re: macOS Sierra connections

Don't forget the research assistant before suggesting man pages, list, web browser searches etc. pp. Basic information about a lot of processes. May be not perfect (yet) but a good basis for regular users of LS.

Re: Does Silent Mode cancel existing connections or only block new ones?

IMHO silent mode is self-explanatory:
1. Silent mode is to silence connection alerts (for a later review)
2. Are there connection alerts for existing / established / already confirmed rules? Nope
3. Thus silent mode of course can only block upcoming connection alerts, or?

Re: Always allow from /System/Library

Well, if you want to use LS properly you have to live with this hitting allow in the early stage. If you added regular / standard processes on your mac in the first days, the number of pop ups goes down. It's a bit of work, but worth it when you wanna use LS properly. Check carefully which processes...

3.5: Temporary rules "bug" (rules not deleted after quit)

I recognized a prob with v3.5 of LS, which looks like a bug: after quitting an app the temporary rules for the quit app remain in the LS rules window and not getting deleted automatically. This is subject to a new feature in v3.5 (which unfortunately causes a usage prob): Until Quit rules are now va...
