Re: [LB6 Action] Recent Sublime Text 3 Projects

Great idea!

Have you thought about adding folder/file history too? Either as a single merged list (which might work just fine with LaunchBar) or as 3 separate lists (e.g. like what happens when you browse iTunes)? They seem to all be in the same file you are currently parsing.

Re: [LB6 actions] Recent files in Word/Excel/PowerPoint 2016/365

Version 1.1 is now out - download from https://github.com/nriley/LBOfficeMRU/releases (or with Action Updates if you have 1.0 installed).

This adds support for current Office versions, and eliminates duplicates of the same document (at least for local files; I haven't seen this with SharePoint/OneDrive).

Re: [LB6 actions] Recent files in Word/Excel/PowerPoint 2016/365

Version 1.0 is now out - download from m (or with Action Updates if you have 1.0b2 installed). Since I last posted, some changes: Fixes crash with Unicode characters in cloud-hosted document names. Adds a OneNote action. Adds support for cloud-hosted documents (e.g. SharePoint, OneDrive) in Word, Ex...

Works for me now in 6.8.

Re: Launch specific Terminal profiles?

You can trigger a script something like this: tell application "Terminal" to set (do script "")'s current settings to settings set "Homebrew" There doesn’t seem to be any other way to create a tab or window other than by using “do script”. Feel free to file a bug. What ...

Re: Not keeping window active and updating list

It turns on and off Philips hue lights (or anything else the Hue bridge will talk to) and lets you set scenes by room. I have a beta version available for anyone who's interested: m Some other screenshots are here: m At this point it's essentially feature-complete for me. There are definitely more f...

Re: Not keeping window active and updating list

OK, I did find a solution to the first problem, though it seems — not great. I still can't use a badge or label, but I was able to return a single item from the action to display status. This has the side effect of navigating away from the list of lights, thereby invalidating it. Also, I end up with...

[LB6 action] Philips Hue lights

Hi, I'm trying to develop a LaunchBar Action to turn lights on and off. However, I'm running into a couple problems. 1. I want the state of the light in LaunchBar (which I'm using badge text for) to change immediately after the light changes state, but the only way I can figure out how to do this is...

[LB6 actions] Recent files in Word/Excel/PowerPoint 2016/365

I finally got annoyed enough at Microsoft not using standard methods to record recent files in the Mac Office apps that I wrote some LaunchBar actions for them. This requires Office 2016 or 365 (application versions 15.x). Earlier versions store their recent files in a different format so it won't w...

Re: Better way to handle calling phone numbers with LaunchBar?

Of course, no sooner do I see this than I find a workaround. I can check "Phone Numbers" under "Direct" in the Contacts Index and set my script as a Default Action for "Phone numbers". Still would like actions on the contact to be a bit more useful, but I can at least g...

Better way to handle calling phone numbers with LaunchBar?

Hi, I'm trying to use LaunchBar to let me call phone numbers more easily. Unfortunately I can't figure out how LaunchBar is figuring out what actions to provide when I press Tab after selecting a person. Currently, I get the following: call with.png The first tries to place a FaceTime Audio call to ...

Instant Send vs. ⌘D drop

Is there a reason why the selection retrieved by Instant Send is different from the selection retrieved by ⌘D? I recently had some files selected in EagleFiler, and naturally assumed I could open them in an application by typing the app into LaunchBar and pressing ⌘D — I ended up with the Finder sel...
