Re: Executing commands in Terminal

Not sure how you're defining "typing mode". Have you checked the help file? I did take a look at the Help file, but, alas, it was not helpful. Perhaps my mental model does not map to how LaunchBar works... If the current item on the bar is a directory location, you can hit Option-Command-...

Executing commands in Terminal

I searched this forum for similar posts, but only found a topic on executing shell scripts, not commands. In LBv5, if I activate LaunchBar and proceed to type (starting with "."), everything I type is always treated as a URL location, rather than as text, even if I tab and select "Run...

Qu-s

I thought I'd point out a new app called Qu-s, which implements a shelf-like interface with some very clever URL-based smarts that would make a lot of sense in LaunchBar:

Re: Request for "Shelf"

From your link, this idea sounds similar to LaunchBar's Text Clips feature except that you can add new snippets of text from within Quicksilver. With LaunchBar's Text Clips, you need to create them ahead of time. Can Quicksilver's shelf also store images and other kinds of data? You can drag ANYTHI...

Request for "Shelf"

One of the features I miss most from QuickSilver is the Shelf module (described here).

Would it be possible to offer a similar kind of "permanent clipboard" in LaunchBar?

Really wish we had the 'comma trick', or some sort of alternative in LaunchBar. +1 to this suggestion. I'm a long time QuickSilver user trying out the LaunchBar beta and I've been satisfied so far in many respects, but miss the "comma delimited selection" functionality of QuickSilver some...
