Re: LaunchBar stays on screen after Google search

Yeah, I'm seeing it on-and-off too. Yesterday I replaced my local copy of LaunchBar on my laptop with the one from my iMac (even though it may have been nearly — or exactly — the same version), and the problem went away, but then I started noticing it on the iMac itself. Based on that I would guess ...

LaunchBar stays on screen after Google search

As of some recent update, when I do a Google search with LaunchBar, after pressing return to perform the search in Safari, the LaunchBar window stays on screen. I have to press [esc] twice to get rid of it, every single time. Obviously this can't be the intended behavior, but is it a known issue, or...

Re: LaunchBar appears in the dock twice

I'm not experiencing this one, but I have a hunch that cleaning out your Launch Services DB might fix the problem. Try pasting this in Terminal (this is all one line): /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill...

Re: Launchbar not working right after upgrade to Mountain Lion

LaunchBar appears to be mostly broken for me in Mountain Lion so far. Spotlight indexing is done, but LaunchBar is still missing most of my stuff. The index window has nothing at all under almost any of my sections. The only ones that have any stuff are the search templates. Applications, Actions, S...

Re: MacUpdate.com Search

I guess because I made my own version it wasn't replaced by the "factory configuration"? I'm very confused. Did I overwrite the factory configuration and that's why nothing changed in 5.2 or do I need to be looking somewhere else aside from the "Search Templates" section? As lon...

A few issues that have dogged me for a long time

Sorry for the vague subject line, but I didn't want to start a separate thread for each of these issues, as I suspect they might be related. There are a few features that interact with the Finder in one way or another that seem to always result in an extremely long wait, accompanied by our old frien...

Clip Merge often triggers accidentally

I really like Clip Merge, but I find it triggers accidentally quite often, and it's gotten frustrating enough that I've had to disable Clip Merge altogether. I'm using an Apple aluminum keyboard (USB (not wireless), full size) -- which may be relevant in that the keys have very little resistance -- ...

I'm sitting at around 45 MB (OS X 10.5.6, 2 GB RAM, PowerBook 1.67 GHz [Oct 2005]), which about the same as what I usually saw with LaunchBar 4. Everyone's index will be a different size depending on how much stuff you have indexed. My iTunes library has around 13,500 songs, so if I enable iTunes in...

Re: Do you icon..?

Maybe it's a lame excuse, but I also really like how the new LaunchBar icon looks. It'd be a shame to hide it. I've always had the LB icon hidden, but there are a couple problems with that in LB5, so I decided to just let it run as a normal app (with Dock icon). Mostly I just wanted to avoid those ...

I tried moving LaunchBar out of the Applications folder, and back in again. It no longer appears briefly in the Dock when I launch it, but I'm still having the same problem with apps not coming to the foreground when launched (either directly, or by opening a document that causes the app to open). T...

I don't use Spaces, so we can eliminate that as the cause of this particular problem. Probably the key factor is whether you have LaunchBar hidden in the Dock. If you don't have the Dock icon hidden, it behaves as a normal application, in which case you shouldn't have this problem. One thing that's ...

I'm running into the same problem -- not just when launching applications directly, but also when I open a document that causes an application to be launched. If the app is already running, opening a document with LaunchBar correctly brings the app to the front. But whenever an app is launched, it d...
