Anybody have a simple trick to make a LB shortcut that will open the last closed Finder Window?

Re: Launching Character Palette

I just noticed that using LB with aliases to the following is not working:

NotificationCenter.app
KeyboardViewer.app
CharacterPalette.app

I make new aliases to the original apps (High Sierra). This used to work.

Re: Search to return docs, ignoring subfolder levels

This post didn't result in any progress, but I still would like to be able to do this.

Search to return docs, ignoring subfolder levels

I have a folder with subfolders for A, B, C, D, etc. Each (level 1) subfolder contains many documents (PDFs). I would like to be able to search by document title, across all of the subfolders, without going through or showing the individual subfolders. In other words, I want LB to index two sub leve...

Re: LB Actions "Encountered and Error"

I double-clicked on "Save Attachments to Desktop.workflow", so it opens in Automator; then changed the destination to my downloads folder, and saved the changed workflow. Now it runs. Not sure why it won't save to my desktop, like it used to, but it seems this isn't a LaunchBar thing.

LB Actions "Encountered and Error"

Recently, the Action "Get Attachments from Mail Messages" started giving me a message (from LB) that says an error was encountered. The options are "OK" or "Show Workflow". Doing the latter brings up the /Library/Services/ folder with "Save Attachments to Desktop.w...

Thanks, that helped. ...was pretty obvious in retrospect.

LB opened Applications folder is empty

This has been bugging me for most of a year (through various updates of the LB, OS X, etc.): When I open my applications folder using Launchbar, it appears empty. It's just a finder widow at that point, so it shouldn't be influenced by LB. B If I open the Applications folder other ways (without LB),...

Re: Launching Character Palette

It's time to resurrect this thread... This method of making the Character (and Keyboard) Viewer Panes accessible with Launchbar was working fine, but was broken when I installed Snow Leopard. Apple reworked these components, and apparently moved them elsewhere in the System. I haven't been able to f...

How to "unselect all"

Maybe I'm just missing this, but I see the "select all" command, but I can't find out how to "unselect all". Specifically, what I want to do is activated Safari bookmarks, then UNselect all (1414) of them, then manually select a just few to activate. Right now it seems that I hav...

Launching Character Palette

Thanks, this works nicely for the Keyboard Viewer and the Character Palette. I suspect it'll also work with some of the similar things that are buried in the system (like the font selector pane or palette or "component" or whatever it is that can be accessed from TextEdit and a few other p...

Launching Character Palette

Is there a way to make LB launch the Character Palette.

I've got easy access to the Character Palette from my menu bar by checking a box in International Preferences Pane, but I don't need it there all the time.

Just to keep this alive... Toggling mirroring continues to be the #1 thing I'd like to do with LB, but haven't been able to figure out. Next month, it will be the first thing I try to do with the new LB-like functionality in Leopard's Spotlight. BTW, WRT the previous reply, F7 is useful when --for e...

LB and Open/Save Dialogs

Is there a way to use LB to navigate locations in open/save dialog boxes? Say you created a new word processor document and then want to "save as" to a particular location. Sometimes finding this location with the navigation tools provided in OS X's open/save dialogs is pretty tedious. I k...
