Re: LS 4.1 - OS X problems

Little Snitch 4.1.1 does fix the problem, at least for me.

Re: LS 4.1 - OS X problems

Mac Mini 2012 too. Interesting.

And of course I won‘t give up Little Snitch. It is a very fine piece of software I have been using as long as I have been using a Mac. My Mac feels kind of naked without it.

No doubt here about the developing skills of Obdev and their intention of fixing this asap.

Re: LS 4.1 - OS X problems

I had the same experience, it took me even the approximately same time to get my Mac into restarting. Activity App was no help to kill all LS processes, LS daemon survived every attempt to shut it down. Finally I pressed the off button (no way I could open the Apple menu to restart) and started the ...

Re: Hard crash

Switching off the menu bar icon has worked for me too. But the day before yesterday I switched it on again just only in monochrome mode. Works so far.

Re: Hard crash

I can report one crash-free week. The first since 10.10.3's supplemental update. Little Snitch is running, just not the animation of its menu bar icon. Flash is still disabled in both Safari and Google Chrome , I will re-activate them in the near future to rule Flash out as a trigger for the crashes.

Re: Hard crash

We were all misled at first: We get crashes caused by kernel panics. Many people experiencing the crashes use Little Snitch , a software that installs a kernel extension. Conclusion: The kernel extension of Little Snitch is causing the crashes. But actually it is its animated menu bar icon. And not ...

Re: Hard crash

Switch off the Little Snitch menu bar network indicator (Preferences/Monitor/Show network activity in the menu bar - or something like this. I use Little Snitch with the German UI and am just guessing how the settings are named in English). You don't have to switch off or even de-install Little Snit...

Re: Hard crash

Okay, so it's the Intel HD Graphics 4000 why my Mac Mini 2012 is affected by the surprise crashes. Too bad the fact that the Mini is a less selling line of Macs will lower Apple's priority for fixing this more than just unpleasant bug. For narrowing down the crashes a little more: As far as I can te...

Re: Hard crash

My Mac Mini crashes since 10.10.3 too. I tried different things, even re-installed Yosemite from the MAS. Afterwards I had no crashes for about a week. I also de-installed Soundflower as it is an old, not maintained kernel extension and actually one I almost never use. Plus, I added the ClickToFlash...

It helps if you think of it as simply upgrading to a new version, without reference to Leopard. There DOES seem to be lots of new functionality, even if most of it is over my head... I'd suggest the opposite: Little Snitch is not just a program that does whatever it does under whatever OS, like a w...

How to buy without credit card?

Hello!

Since two weeks I own a Mac, and if there is one thing I, even as a newbie, am sure about it's that Little Snitch is a must-have!

But I don't own a credit card. Is there any other way to purchase?

Btw, I live in Germany.
