Re: Feature request: delay rebuild-index on launch + low-prioriz

Whereas Mac OS X has progressively booted faster and faster with new versions, that feat has been systematically trumped by the egregious delay that Launchbar insists on adding after login, eons after existing as a Mac OS X app. Every OS out there is booting faster, and yet Launchbar is taking that ...

Re: drill into keychain

Not even a public statement as to why this feature is not considered worthy? If we are on v5 and it is still not there, I would think it has more to do with little interest from the developer than anything else. But why would anyone not consider it very useful… beats me.

Re: Feature request: delay rebuild-index on launch + low-prioriz

I would like to insist. I do not really understand why every time I start my computer: ⋅  It takes time from the moment Launchbar has started until the full index is searchable. The index was there when I shut the computer. Why does Launchbar need to rebuild it when rebooting? 99.9% of the...

On Windows, that is (which makes those statistics irrelevant to LB).

Still, I (as others I guess) am also intending to switch as soon as Chrome gets extension support. So add my vote to that.

Feature request: delay rebuild-index on launch + low-prioriz

Summary: Delay index-rebuilding on LaunchBar's launch in order to cut down boot-time. Plus, make it low priority. Most users will have LB as a login item and running all the time. Most user's index will not vary much, or at all, from the last time LB was open. LB already takes more time to launch th...

I do not know the innards, but QuickSilver does index each individual entry in the keychain except for the password protected info inside each one (which makes total sense to me).
