I have VUSB on one of those USBasp clones and it works really solid, no matter if it is connected to a direct usb 2 or 3.0 port or to an usb3.0 hub and both front and back ports.

I also noticed odd things when connecting V-USB devices to USB3.0 hubs.

- Somehow it takes much longer for a devices to be recognized. The host will simply wait forever to start enumeration? Why? Very confusing.

- Things get out of sync fairly often.

I just tested USB ASP device on my add-on USB 3.0 ports under Windows 7, and it works flawlessly.

c) "3.0" doesn't search correctly?

a) Get one person here to say V-USB works on a 3.0 port.
b) not many
c) its not an easy search no.

I'm a thrifty hobbyist and it'll be years before I have a machine with USB 3.0. I wonder whether others also use older hardware that is perfectly fine for this kind of work.

It's also hard to find information on this because the current configuration of this phpBB does not allow "3.0" as a search term. Perhaps an adjustment is in order?

From what I here is buggy and will not work right. Also my project does not work on my 3.0 port. I can not find anything official on this, and I too would like to here from Christian on this.

v-usb with usb 3.0?

I have built several devices with v-usb, and tested on hundreds of computers. I have only found three usb ports which did not recognize my v-usb devices, and it turns out that all three of them are USB 3.0 ports.

Are there known problems with 3.0 vs v-usb? Is there something to be done? I have not yet hooked up my oscilloscope to see what's going on, but if that's what it takes...

I have tried this with the two dropping diodes and with the two zeners, neither works.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.
