The pins are identical, the only code changes out of make are the timers. If you dont use timers your good to go. also the usb diodes have to be 1/2 watt 1/4 will not work. Can anyone tell me if the AVR-Doper firmware needs to be changed if I want to use an ATmega168 instead of an ATmega8 for the circuit? Beyond just updating the Makefile, I mean -- are there any material changes to pins used, interrupt setup, etc?
