On a similar note, even though some computers don't not recognize the device, should the computer display a notification at least acknowledging the USB device? The laptop on which the program works doesn't display anything. It just just starts typing the values on a word processor.
Statistics: Posted by suncm — Mon Jul 29, 2013 8:02 pm

Hi all,

So simple enough- I've replicated the V-USB EasyLogger project (http://www.obdev.at/products/vusb/easylogger.html) and it works on only select computers. It runs fine when plugged into my friend's Lenovo ultrabook, but it won't work on my desktop (Asus motherboard). I just get a notification that says "unknown USB device." My circuit is exactly the same as in the EasyLogger link above. I'm using a simple potentiometer as the analog voltage source.

Does anyone have any advice or idea as to why it won't work on my desktop?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!
Statistics: Posted by suncm — Sat Jul 27, 2013 7:12 pm
