Hello,

I'm happy with my USBasp programmer (has some issues with my notebook, but USB switch works around it), but I'd love to have the extra debug console right inside it (well, I don't always have my dock station with decent rs232 with me). You see, AVR-Doper has this feature. The question is, is can this be done with USBasp hw?

I've seen, that some of the "ground" pins are actually connected to some mcu pins, so I can see how this could work, but I can't find anything that would confirm it. Have someone tried? Do I have to do something else in order to get this extra functionallity (compile my own firmware, etc.)? I will probably try it in a few day anyway, but it would be nice if someone could tell me if it's not possible.

Thanks!
Statistics: Posted by Krakonos — Sun Dec 26, 2010 11:37 pm
