I am working on an open source project that I hope to produce kits for eventually. I am tempted to use an ATTiny461 with the internal oscillator and self calibration because it would allow me to cram the whole thing into a much smaller and cheaper case.

The problem is that I can't find any data on the reliability and compatibility of the 16.5MHz RC oscillator mode. There are a fair number of people saying it works, but can anyone say they have tested it in the long term and on a wide variety of machines?

Please don't get me wrong, it's not that I doubt it works, I just need some hard data before committing hard cash to it
Statistics: Posted by mojo — Mon Mar 23, 2009 2:36 pm
