If you can't get zeners, you could try to reach the same limit with LEDs in forward direction.

The problem is that I can't find smd 3.6V zeners here in Uruguay (belive me is not a nice place to make electronics proyects), i just find 1W trougth hole, so after a search in ebay i've found those nice sot-wathever smd ic's.
I think they add extra protection to the usb pc-side.
