After installing the prolific driver I downloaded from <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wiretek.com.cn/download.asp?driver_lei=windows">http://www.wiretek.com.cn/download.asp? ... ei=windows</a><!-- m --> (named USB2.0 TO RS232 Converter), I plugged in the device and got the error USB Device Not Recognized (one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned...) <br /><br />I opened device manager and the device shows up as &quot;Unknown Device&quot; under the USB controller tab.  <br /><br />I got the same error on all three computers at my house (all running windows xp pro).<br />Has anyone else had the same error, or is my device defective?
