Objective Development Forum Rules & Guidelines
Our forums are intended to be a place where you can get in touch with other users of our products in order to solve problems or share tips and other helpful information related to our products, and to help each other to get the most out of our products. If your request is not likely to be answered by other users (bug reports, feature requests, lost license keys, etc.), please contact us directly through our support form.
We ask you to consider the following rules and guidelines when using our forums:
Respect Other Users. Please keep a respectful and polite tone. Do not insult or offend other users. Avoid writing in all capital letters (“shouting”). We will not tolerate flames or other inappropriate, objectionable statements.
Be Constructive. Try to post your contributions, questions and comments in a helpful and constructive manner. Constructive feedback about product features is appreciated as well.
Stay on Topic and Prevent Duplicates. Please discuss only one topic per thread. If you want to discuss a new topic, please open a new thread. And before posting a new topic, please thoroughly search the forum for previous topics on the same subject. We reserve the right to split or merge topics to direct discussions into their respective thread. This should help others to find relevant information more efficiently.
No Bumping. Don’t post in an inactive thread for the sole purpose of moving it to the top of the list. If you want to draw our attention to a specific topic, please contact us directly through our support form.
No Speculations. Avoid to speculate, and do not propagate vague assumptions or untrue information.
No Advertising. Our forums are dedicated to discussions related to Objective Development products and services. Please do not use the forums to promote third-party products, services, or websites. Avoid to post links to or mentions of third-parties. We reserve the right to edit or delete posts containing third-party recommendations.
Respect the Law. Do not promote illegal actions. In particular, do not post any descriptions of processes that break or otherwise work around copy protection or license restrictions.
Bug Reports & Feature Requests. The forums are not supposed to be an official channel for sending bug reports or feature requests. We may or may not take notice of issues discussed in the forums. To make sure that we become aware of a particular problem or request please contact us directly through our support form.
You may of course discuss problems that you’ve encountered with other users, for example in order to check if others are able to reproduce the problem, if it’s a bug at all or just some kind of operating error, or to check if others have found a workaround. Please do not post entire crash logs, system profiles or the like.
And you are certainly invited to share and discuss your feature ideas with other users. But please understand that we usually do not join such feature discussions unless we need additional information or can clarify a particular issue (for example, if a requested feature is already available).
Violation of the Rules. We reserve the right to edit or completely remove posts that violate these rules without further notice, even if the post is only partially improper (containing inappropriate content, links to or recommendations of third-parties, etc.). Repeated breach of rules may result in the user being suspended or banned from the forum.
Removal of Obsolete Topics. Occasionally we may clean up the forums and remove topics that are no longer relevant (for example, discussions of bugs that have already been fixed long ago).
