Address Book does not update when shared via Dropbox

I moved the Address Book database and files to my Dropbox folder as specified by this article:

Now my laptop and desktop have a synced AB.

However, since doing that, LB does not update AB entries.

From a suggestion here in the forums, I turned on the logging for AB. Once that was turned on, the sync'd ABs were parsed fine and the entries were correct when searching. However, when debugging is turned off, edited entries do not appear correct when searched in LB. Even if I make a change to the AB on my desktop, open LB and do a manual update for the index, then search LB for the edited entry, all on the same machine. It appears as the old data.

Something I should try to determine why it is not updating correctly?

Bump.

Any idea why LB does not correctly index the AddressBook when not in the default Address Book position?

Again, when I turn on the index loggin for AddressBook, I can see that it imports and scans the new records, but it will not rescan and Import changes in records until I quit LB and turn AB logging off then on again.
