Feature Request: Google Chrome/ Chromium

Postby ptujec » Wed Oct 07, 2009 10:30 am

Since Google Chrome is already running pretty well I made it made default browser for a try. A downside is that I can’t use the Chrome History with LaunchBar. That would be nice.

Yeah, this topic didn't get much attention, but I'm also very much interested in this.

Google Chrome and Chromium for mac are pretty much stable enough to use full time. History's scored in an SQLite database, it seems, and Bookmarks are stored in a pretty easy to read file, not sure what it is.

I'd love support for these in Launchbar. Thanks :)

i concur! indexing support for chrome bookmarks would be awesome. i tried to add it manually but launchbar didn't seem to understand the file, even though it looks like HTML to me...

On Windows, that is (which makes those statistics irrelevant to LB).

Still, I (as others I guess) am also intending to switch as soon as Chrome gets extension support. So add my vote to that.

I also noticed that Instant Send doesn't work in Chromium. I have no clue why.

Oh please, the lack of Instant send on Chrome is probably THE thing that stops me from using it...

Just for the record Google Chrome for Mac now does have extension support and autoupdates itself.

Chrome is quickly becoming my browser of choice, the only thing that keeps me from full adoption is it's lack of Launchbar support. Instant send, history etc... Please :)

Compatibility with Google Chrome bookmarks would be great!
I tried manually adding Chrome's bookmark file to LaunchBar but it does not work.

Long time Quicksilver user, I'm considering buying LaunchBar as a replacement. This feature would seal the deal.

The fact there has been no response from LB staff on this and no updates to the release version of LB in over six months makes me concerned the devs have abandoned us. :(
